This friendly will be a tough start to the season for Deeping Ducks as they embark on season two.
The Vipers who are based out of Wymondham Rugby Club were successful last season and applied to become a professional club in the Rugby Football League structure.
That place was eventually taken by Google Vikings.
The two sides met twice last season.
Vipers won the June home game 38-36 before a larger winning margin of 42-16 when they came to Deeping.
Deepings leadership group is consistent with last season but has key additions that will hopefully help us throughout the summer.
Luke Whitby remains as captain. The former Boston Buccaneer also plays union for Peterborough. Ciaran Thompson remains his vice captain. Another ex-Bucc and Deepings RUFC player Ciaran plays that half back postion for the Ducks and is key to our success.
George Stevens remains in the head coach position he has held since the clubs inception. This season that coaching bench is strengthened by the arrival of former North of England rep player Joe Raddings.
Raddings has both played and refereed league for a number of years and brings his experience to the Ducks.
It's going to be a really exciting season and we hope to see you follow the club home and away.
