Green Machine v Oadby

As is so often the case the score did not reflect the rugby played by the home side but Oadby are a well drilled unit and that only comes from players turning up in the week and doing that little extra bit for themselves and the team.

Unfortunately despite losing games like this this season, the training fields at DRUFC remain quiet. However the results further down the league went in the Green Machines favour and they retain forth in the league on points difference.

There was though massive success off the pitch on Saturday though, the club hosted forty-two Vice Presidents, sponsors and their guest for a superb four course lunch, praise was reaped on the chefs, Gemma Wilson and Neil 'Beefy' Webb and Sam Wilson, along with maître d’Nigel Thornton and his his waitresses Madeline & Amy.

The IXV are at Linchfield Road again this Saturday, 26th Feb, hosting a rearranged fixture from before Christmas against Northampton Casuals.
