Get ready for a big day of rugby on Saturday, 7th February. Whether you're a die-hard local supporter or just looking for the perfect warm-up before the internationals, Deepings RUFC is the place to be.
This weekend, the Deepings XV welcome a unique and formidable opponent to Spalding Road: Lincolnshire Police.
Expect a physical, high-intensity encounter. While Deepings will be looking to leverage their home-turf advantage and cohesive club structure, the Lincolnshire Police side, often bolstered by officers from across the county, is known for its fitness, discipline, and "never-say-die" work ethic. Many of these players have experience in the England Police RUFC pathway, meaning the quality on the pitch will be high.
The "Long Arm" of the Scrum: It’s not every day you get to see the local constabulary trade their uniforms for rugby jerseys.
High-Stakes Friendly: With both sides looking to prove a point, expect hard hits and fast-paced play.
Community Spirit: It’s a great chance to support the club and see the local community come together for a sporting clash.
The schedule is perfectly set for a full day of rugby:
13:30 – Kick Off: Deepings RUFC v Lincolnshire Police.
15:30 (approx) – Final Whistle: The match will wrap up just in time for you to grab a pint and find a seat.
16:40 – Six Nations Kick Off: Head straight into the clubhouse to watch England v Wales live on the big screens.
The clubhouse will be open and ready with drinks, hot food (upto 17:30) and a great atmosphere to ensure you don't miss a second of the action from Twickenham.
