It was a big pitch and a bit of a shaky start, but once the boys woke up to the task, they really showed what they’re made of! A solid defensive effort in the first half set the platform, leading to some brilliant breakaway tries. With a little more sidestepping instead of steamrolling through defenders, we might have stretched the lead even more before halftime!

As confidence grew in the second half, we saw some outstanding individual moments from Josh, Gerry, and Arthur, along with great support play and opportunism from Finn. Every single player put in a massive shift, a full 60 minutes of effort, teamwork, and determination.

Player of the Match – Luke!
A huge congratulations to Luke, who was immense in both attack and defence. His work rate was incredible, and some of his tackles were bone shaking! It wasn’t just the coaches who noticed. Parents and teammates all agreed he fully deserved the recognition.
A brilliant team effort all round — a great way to start the season and plenty to build on!
