For years, Touch Rugby has been quietly thriving at the Club, we have won a few tournaments in the past! a Monday‑night tradition that’s brought together players of all ages, families, and newcomers to enjoy the game in its purest form. Now, we are looking to develop this long‑standing section to enure everyone, from anywhere knows they can take part.

Touch Rugby has always been part of the Deepings RFC story. It’s fast (or slow, your choice), social, and inclusive — a version of the game where teamwork and skill shine without the tackles. From former first‑team players keeping fit to families discovering rugby together, Touch has become a cornerstone of the club’s community spirit.

The club has launched a dedicated Touch Hub on its website, showcasing everything players need to know, from membership details and training times to rules, resources, and the proud history of Deepings RUFC. The hub highlights that Touch Membership is for Touch Rugby only, meaning players can still belong to other clubs while enjoying Deepings’ facilities and community.

Membership covers up to five people from the same household, making it one of the most family‑friendly ways to get involved in local sport. It includes RFU insurance, access to the club’s pitches and facilities, and the chance to be part of a club with decades of heritage.

Touch sessions run every Monday evening at Linchfield Road, from 7:00pm. The clubhouse is open for toilets and changing rooms and the bar afterwards, because at DRUFC, rugby is as much about friendship as it is about fitness.

The club’s new Touch Hub also features a Quick Guide to the Rules, official RFU resources, and downloadable PDFs for players and coaches. It’s a one‑stop home for everything Touch Rugby at Deepings.
