The Women's Six Nations is Back!

Deepings RUFC9 Apr - 09:04

The 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations kicks off this Saturday, April 11, and the excitement is already through the roof.

With record-breaking crowds expected and a new "Super Saturday" triple-header format for the opening rounds, this year is set to be the biggest yet for the women's game.

Get ready for five weeks of world-class rugby as England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales battle it out for the ultimate prize. Since Italy joined in 2007, the tournament has grown into a global powerhouse of the sport, moving to its own dedicated window in the rugby calendar to ensure the spotlight stays firmly on these incredible athletes.

England (The Red Roses): Once again, the ones to beat. They enter the tournament as heavy favorites, looking to extend their dominance.
France: Always the fiercest challengers. With a home finale in Bordeaux this year, they’ll be eyeing that Round 5 clash against England as a potential title decider.
Ireland and Scotland have both seen massive improvements in recent years.

Ireland faces the Red Roses right out of the gate in Round 1, a massive test that could blow the title race wide open.

This year introduces a high-octane schedule. Every Saturday for the first four rounds will be a Triple Header, meaning you can settle in for a full day of rugby action.

Round 1 Highlights (Saturday, April 11): France vs. Italy gets us started, followed by a massive clash between England and Ireland at the Allianz Stadium, and rounding off with Wales hosting Scotland in Cardiff.

For the first time, the tournament concludes with a Super Sunday on May 17, with all three matches played back-to-back to crown the 2026 champions.
