It is with deep regret that I have to bring you the very sad news of the passing of our president Sean Turner. He lost his battle against a short but very aggressive illness on Saturday 9th May.

He was a highly respected member of our club for nearly 30 years and a key member of our management committee for the past 6 years. He was a great friend to many people throughout the club having been a player, coach and administrator over his time with the club. He will be sadly missed by us all. I, in particular will miss his friendship and invaluable help behind the scenes. I am sure that you will all join me in sending our condolences to his family.

I would ask you all to join me in raising a glass to celebrate Sean’s life and spend a few moments to remember all the great times we have shared with him at the club and elsewhere.
