The Deepings Senior Men’s team and their guests came together to celebrate a season that, whilst testing at times, finished on a real high. A strong second half of the campaign and a fresh new dinner format made for a memorable evening of reflection and camaraderie.
Led with passion and pride by joint Captains Ciaran Thompson and Steve Capper, Coach Spencer Crockett, and our President Nick ‘Pinky’ Floyd, the squad celebrated in style with a palpable sense of optimism and excitement for what next season may bring.
The awards evening shone a spotlight on some truly deserving recipients. The Young Player of the Year award went to the very deserving Jack Ray, Roberts Purins was honoured with the Coach’s Award for his consistency and high standards, Andy Donnell took home the Most Improved Award and the much loved James 'Pricey' was voted Players’ Player by his teammates.
The Club Person of the Year award went to the ever humble yet wholly deserving Gareth Bell, whose tireless dedication behind the scenes, most notably his outstanding work in establishing the new kitchen, embodies everything that makes this club special. All the players and guests would like to thank the chef and staff for the wonderful food and hospitality throughout the end of season dinner.
