If the old clubhouse bar could talk, it would probably tell you about decades of post-game celebrations, spilled drinks, endless laughter, and maybe a few questionable dance moves. But on Sunday afternoon, the only thing the bar was saying was: it’s time.

When the doors swung open at 8am, the old room looked exactly as it always had—tired, cluttered, and steeped in history. By 6pm, the magic happened.

Armed with crowbars, dust masks, and an infinite supply of enthusiasm, our incredible team of volunteers descended on the space. What followed wasn't just a clear-out; it was a masterclass in community spirit.

Furniture was hoisted, decades-old posters were carefully downsized, and the old bar top—the centrepiece of so many memories—was dismantled piece by piece. There was sweat, a mountain of dust, and an absolute certainty that we were going to need a bigger skip. But louder than the sound of tearing wood was the sound of laughter, banter, and the shared excitement for what comes next.

By the time the dust settled and the final sweeping was done, the clubhouse was unrecognisable. It wasn't empty, though. It was full of potential.
