The inaugural Nations Championship reaches its breathtaking conclusion with the Grand Final Weekend held in London on November 27–29, 2026. After six weeks of grueling international competition across both hemispheres, the top-ranked teams from the North and South will collide in a winner-takes-all Championship Final to crown the first-ever global league champions.
This unprecedented weekend of rugby features a full schedule of placement matches, meaning every single team—from the best to the sixth best in each conference—will be playing for their final ranking. It is the ultimate showcase of the world's best international talent, guaranteeing non-stop, high-stakes action as the best of the best fight for global supremacy.
2026 marks the launch of the "Nations Championship" (sometimes called the World League). This new tournament format links the Summer and Autumn test windows.
July (Summer): The "Southern Hemisphere" leg (Northern teams travel South).
November (Autumn): The "Northern Hemisphere" leg (Southern teams travel North).
Finals: The series culminates in a "Grand Final" weekend in London at the end of November.
The "Grand Final" Weekend

This is a new addition to the rugby calendar. Based on the league table results from the previous six rounds, teams will play a "placement match" against their equivalent seed from the other conference.
