It was a tale of two halves as on a wet windy day at Boston too many dropped passes and poor tackling saw Deeping 0 - 10 behind at half time. The second half, however, was as good as the first half was poor.
Good defensive tackling and rucking saw Deeping put Boston under pressure and the comeback started with a turnover ball then good handling to release Charlie Woollard to score. The scores were levelled with an interception try by captain Fabio Valerio. Multiple phases of possession took Deeping close to the Boston line and when the ball was moved quickly left Angus Fox crossed to put Deeping into the lead. From the ensuing kick off Angus Fox caught the ball and ran in a superb 70 metre score. Deeping then saw off determined Boston attacks to win the match 10 - 20.
Angus Fox was deservedly named Man of the Match for his efforts.
Deeping will host Peterborough Lions next at home on the 27th November, kick off 11am.
