As you are aware we have our NLD Semi Final against Paviors on Sunday. The match will be played at Sleaford RUFC, and we have a 12.30 kick off.

We have changing room access from 11.30am for a limited time. Please can everyone be at Sleaford by 10.45am so that we can have a two stage warm up, and make sure our final team selection is awake, fit, and up for it.

If both sides play to their potential, this should be an excellent and exciting match. We can only field a squad of 22 players, all of whom must have been NLD registered before Christmas. A few of you who have joined us recently could easily have been up for selection, and everyone by rights deserves to be out there representing the team given your commitment week in, week out. We hope that if you are not selected you will still come and support the team. Getting to the semi is a huge achievement.

In selecting the squad choices do however have to be made, and on that note we would like the following players in our starting 15:

1) Jack Goodyear; 2) Merren Leaper; 3) Dylan Jones; 4) Bradley Hiscocks; 5) Patryk Danielewski; 6) Jack Lagdon; 7) Robert Martin; 8) Devon Brooks; 9) Dan Whadcock; 10) Sam Cheek; 11) Harley Bycraft; 12) Josh Flegg (Capt); 13) Joe Warner (Vice Capt); 14) Matt Hudson; 15) Ollie Sherwin.

Being aware of a couple of lingering injuries, and the never ending round of bugs, we would like the following players to be available on the bench, or readily able to step in to fill any gaps that arise:

Prop replacement: Tom Presneill, with Josh Edwards also available;
Hooker replacement: Aaron Wray;
2nd Row Replacement: Tim Hodgson, with Will Legge also available;
No 8 / Flanker Replacement: Joe Crickmore.

9/10 Replacement: Ethan Duran, with Will Hooson also available;
Winger Replacement: Ollie Dilloway, with Perry Goddard also available;
Centre / Flanker / Fullback replacement: Adam O’Neill or Mark Sclanders (need a fitness check on both on Sunday).

That gives us 12 potential players for our bench, with options available to cover every position at the last minute. We have had to make changes on the day at each of our pool games, given illness or warm up injury, so everyone needs to come along focussed, but aware that we can’t guarantee you a game. The final, final team list will be submitted at our registration check in the changing rooms.

Don’t forget – turn up on Sunday awake, with all of you kit and gum shield, focussed on delivering your best performance, fully aware of the requirements of your pitch / bench position. Play the best you can, and whatever the score, everyone at Bourne and Deepings will be proud of you.
