To all Captains, Coaches and Managers,

Writing a match report is a tedious job, however the more we send the more exposure we get in the local press, the more interest we get from potential new players and members the bigger the club gets the easier it is to turn out teams and so it goes on.

It also gives the players some credit and pride, everyone loves to see their name in the paper…..

Could I ask for you to take on the responsibility for either completing a match report or appointing a player or parent or supporter to complete one and send it on your behalf.

The deadline to get in the Tuesday edition is 10:00am Monday morning so the report need to be e-mailed to club@deepingsrufc.co.uk by 09:30am. Ideally send it on a Sunday evening!

In order to save writing chapter and verse I propose we all use the same format. You can write as much, as little or nothing at all for the actual report but everyone needs to at least include the final score and the point scorer’s FULL name. Photos are also very welcome by the newspapers if you are able to supply a couple of accompanying shots, again the paper needs the FULL name of anyone in the photo.

Result;
