Deepings v Northampton Mens Own
Saturday 27th October 2012
Mens Own 10
MATCH ABANDONED with 26 minutes played.
[Peter Larter presenting the Man of the Match award.]
If the first 25 minutes where anything to go by this match would have been one of the matches of the season, fast paced end to end rugby.
Unfortunately in the melee of Deepings third try, Mens Own second row, Sam Flanagan sustained a broken ankle.
With more than an hour of rugby still to play by the time Sam was settled and on his way to hospital there was not enough day light left to finish the game. With only 26 minutes played the match will be replayed on the 10th of November, 14:15pm at Linchfield Road.
We wish Sam a full and speedy recovery.
Despite the brevity of the match a Man of the Match was selected from each side by ex- England & Lions player Mr Peter Larter who had joined club officials, Vice Presidents and guests for a pre-match lunch to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Deepings Rugby Club.
