Deepings were unable to put a stop to Biggleswade's unbeaten run on Saturday.
After a four course meal the teams were joined on the touchline by Vice Presidents and guests of club sponsors, Meadows Taxation & Accountancy of Stamford.
The game was one of the toughest Biggleswade have faced being denied the bonus point they had become so use to for only the second time this season.
Deepings mistakes gifted the game to Biggleswade in the closing 10 minutes of the game. Biggleswade opened the scoring on their second attempt at goal from too many penalties being given away by the home side. Deepings struck thirteen minutes in from a try by the Meadows Taxation Man of the Match James Buchan, the conversion kicked by Steve Capper turned out to be Deepings only points.
Five minutes later a Biggleswade try gave them the 1 point lead that took the sides into half time. Though Deepings held possession for most of the second half their poor execution of set piece play gave the mistakes Biggleswade needed to score two more trys in the closing quarter of the match with an earlier penalty and one of the trys converted the final score ended 07 - 23.
Deepings players Dave Robertson and Guy Cunningham stood out but the Meadows Taxation & Accountancy of Stamford Man of the Match was James Buchan.
