Wow another month bites the dust...

October has been a busy month
- M Pearce

On Sunday 23rd October 2016 we held a very successful and entertaining festival for the U7 and U8 age groups, there was a great response to this event and all credit to the players from all the clubs attending for some wonderful rugby. A big thank you from us all at the club to Ted and Matt for all of their hard work in organising the event which ran very smoothly and with no major problems, and as ever a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped on the day from setting up in the morning to marshalling the event, running the stalls, catering and refereeing the games. Response from the clubs who attended was very positive so once again a big thank you to all involved.

Following on from this the Devils played in the afternoon and whilst unfortunately suffering a close loss their performance was excellent in a thrilling 31 – 39 loss. A great platform for them to build on for the rest of the season.

Last weekend saw a loss for the vets against Thorney but another fine victory for our U14’s they are really playing some great rugby at the moment so let’s give them support and hope they can keep playing well and achieving some fine results.

This Saturday the 1st XV return to league action with a home fixture Vs Brackley fingers crossed for an improved performance and another home victory, all support would be welcome it makes a big difference to the players on the field.
Good luck to all playing this week let’s give them plenty of support from the touchline.

Anyone interested in playing darts for a second team from the club in the Deepings Darts League please leave your name at the bar or contact me directly as we need to register players by the 4th November.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Micky
