We are coming to the end of a very busy October at the club and I would like to thank everybody for their support throughout the month.
We had a very successful mini festival for the u7’s – u9’s on 15th of the month. With nearly 300 players involved, it was great to see so many youngsters taking part in the day and the enjoyment was plain for all to see. A big thank you to all involved in the organising of this event and a big ‘Well Done’ to all those who took part.
This was followed by our 35th anniversary bash which I am sure was enjoyed by all who attended. It was a great effort in a limited timescale to have a marquee up and all appointed for an event such as this and then to be all packed up by mid- afternoon the following day! Again, a massive thank you to all those involved - Lewis and Lee for all the organisation and all the volunteers who helped set up and take down the event. Also, a big thank you to all who attended the event to help us celebrate this landmark. Let’s make this the first of many events with the club as one theme right from the youngest minis to the oldest vets!
Fireworks are our next major event on Friday 3rd November. All volunteers will be welcome to help us set up, marshall and tidy up after this event.
Good luck to all those playing this weekend. Let’s keep results moving in the right direction and make sure that we keep a full complement of players on the field at all times!
